HACKNEY HARMONy
Hackney Harmony is a diverse and vibrant choir in the heart of East London. They sing an eclectic and uplifting range of songs in a range of styles and languages, with a focus on unity, connection and belonging. All songs taught by ear. All are welcome.
The choir was founded in 2010 at Hackney City Farm, where they sang happily for 10 years. Due to growing numbers they now sing at the bigger and more resonant venue Centre 151 in Haggerston.
Come and try it out. The first session of the new term is free to newcomers.

Special guest teacher for september & october - Aaron evans
While Sophia is working abroad for the first half of the autumn term, Hackney Harmony will be led by the wonderful Aaron Evans. Sophia will return from early November to take the choir through to the Winter Concert.
Aaron has been leading song and making music for around 10 years and he currently runs two weekly choirs, one in North London and one in South London. Aaron’s approach to choir leading is both playful and sensitive, fostering a supportive environment where you can explore your voice freely.
Aaron believes that using our voices to sing is a deeply personal journey. His method is sensitive to the journey of the song and the unique voices and experiences of the people in his choirs. This sensitivity, combined with a playful spirit, makes his sessions both enjoyable and meaningful.
Aaron’s aim as a choir leader is to help people enjoy and play with their voices, empowering them to sing without fear of judgment. He strives to create a safe space where voices feel free to express themselves and experience the joy of singing.
